Hilariously True Silly High School Love Poems

Hello, everyone! In the bleak of this winter, here's something that may cheer you up! :)

So here are some fun poems to put a smile on your face!! :)  The Limericks are meant to be silly so PLEASE don't take them seriously.
See if you can relate to any! :)

The High School Love LIMERICKS Collection:

So my friend and I both liked him,
He flirted with me on a whim,
My friend was all mad
I was like,"That's too bad!"
And then she kicked me in the shin.

There once was this really cute boy
To attract him I acted all coy
It's going real well
I think he's under my spell
The wedding day will be full of joy.

There once was a girl who is me
Who wanted to see a movie
With a boy who is nice
Who will buy popcorn twice
Any ideas of who this could be?

So I found this weird thing on my door,
I think it's from the boy I adore
Wait no its not
But he gave me a thought
This dance will be a blast for sure.

I've been waiting for this moment all year
In the hall we soon will be near
I think I will die!
I mumble a "Hi"
Did I really just conquer my fear?

I all want is somebody to love
All I have is some chocolate-Dove.
It is my friend
It's there till the end
Until I mourn the sad lack thereof.

The High School Love Haiku Collection
These poems describe different situations that you may find in a high school romance setting. These are more serious. But still very real and true to life :)

Texting, talking, time-
She wants to be loved for once,
He's playing a game.

Puppy love for one
Just a friend for the other
Fate hides a love true.

Friends and lovers were,
Feelings still alive for one
Distance Separates.

Dating past boundaries
Waiting for one but loving
kisses in the park.

Wanting attention
Then backing off, playing tag
A broken heart wins.

Fun loving and carefree
When she falls please catch her
Or she won't get up.

Romantic at heart
Got hurt, dares not open up
Stuck in Jr. High.

Cupid for her friends
Never a man for her own
Living though others.

Had a lover true,
Broken hearted friends end love
Meanie takes the man.

Hope you enjoyed these poems! Have a wonderful day. :)

A Possible Most Wonderful Account of Reuniting a Stellar Missionary and His Beautiful Lover in Waiting

Too often we are bombarded in this world with stories of tragedy, misery, and broken hearts. Missionaries leave with high hopes that their one true love will wait, lovingly, patiently, for two long, long years, but then end up getting something regretfully and emphatically known as the infamous "Dear John". It's sad. It's horrible. It kills dreams and hopes for a happy future. And it happens every day.

This is a real issue, everyone! We can't have our missionary men out on the front lines in the field-who already are facing enormous challenges from the foe- suddenly doused with another earth shattering disappointment caused by broken promises. The casualties of heart are not to be taken lightly. Our warriors of God laboring every second of every day to save souls should NOT have to worry their precious hearts with thoughts doubting the loyalty of women. I say, NO MORE!

There are only two main methods of helping fix this ever increasing problem (Just kidding. There are probably tons of ways to help missionaries in the field deal with girls back home. And hey, everyone's situation is different, and I totally get that. You do what's best for your situation! But for the purposes of this blog, these are the main two).

#1: Missionaries should not have girlfriends before they leave.

OR

#2: Girlfriends should actually wait. Specifically meaning, to not go get engaged. Yeah?

The good news is, as often as we do hear the classic "Dear John" scenario, these are not always the case.

Yes, sometimes they do wait. And sometimes it works out. And it is all in the timing and will of the Lord.  And it is like a dream come true.

And sometimes it is way better for the girl to marry a different guy. So it really just depends.

But one thing is for sure: we need to support our missionaries in whatever way is best!
One other thing is for sure, anyone waiting for a missionary should take this advice:

And, sometimes, with the Lord's timing, life can go from this:

To This:

Just trust in the Lord. That's the key. :)

So, whether you're waiting for a missionary or not, it doesn't matter. Right now you are waiting and preparing for your future husband and future family. You won't get this chance again! Make this time count through doing what the Lord desires of you. As you are preparing so is he. So, as it turns out, the most wonderful account of the reuniting of a stellar missionary and his beautiful lover in waiting could possibly be your own. And the waiting will definitely pay off. Ask anyone who married a future missionary and they will tell you the same thing: -these amazing Sons of God are worth the wait!

Best of luck finding the one. :) He's out there somewhere! :)

Shout out to the most skilled and tasteful "fangirl" of truly FINE men- INTRODUCING: the amazing Ashley Maryanne!

Hey hey hey! It's that time of year again. When the dust covered decorations emerge, the ugly sweaters come out, and the shopping- Oh, the shopping begins!  And, naturally,  the crafty yet virtually impossible Christmas Pinterest crafts flock your board.

Hey! Speaking of Pinteret, I was introduced to one of the most SKILLED and TASTEFUL pinners I have EVER seen or re-pinned: the awesome Ashley Maryanne! I came upon her boards specifically ONE board, and stopped in my tracks. The board was named: F-I-N-E Fineeeeee, and I bet you can't guess what was on it.

Yep. You guessed it. She has pinned some MIGHTY fine men. And I mean MIGHTY fine. So let me just give you a little taste of her wonderful board. And, if you're like me and trying to survive finals (or just can't wait until Christmas and need something to brighten up your day) here you go:

*Disclaimer: These men are DREAM material. Don't, please, for any reason, think they are real. They are Pinterest men. For looking only. Don't get too attached. Remember these are just pictures. For fun. Not for boyfriend material. Just for swooning on fun blogs. K? K. :)

Ah- look at that face. Don't you want Chad Michael Murray to look at you that way? Yep. That's what I thought.

This guy knows exactly what he's doing. Luring you in with that puppy. But, really. He doesn't need the puppy.  Let's be honest here.

And best hair EVER goes to....this guy.

Of course. Liam Hemsworth. Wouldn't that just be a dream to see him strolling down your street? *sigh*

I don't know what it is about this picture...but I love it. You know what they say :When one door closes, God opens a window. (Yes, PLEASE!) OH! and I want his sweater. Btw.

Let's hear it for all the hot nerds in the world!!! Can I get a woot woot?? *woot wooot*

So much is RIGHT about this picture. Look at his outfit, his clothes, his hair, his watch. MMM...just yes.

This movie. This kid. So good.

How can we forget our preteen celebrity crush? Oh yeah. There was a reason we all fell for Troy Bolton. *memories*

Now THAT is a solid smile. Now by raise of hands who wants to go to the beach with this guy? Uh huh :):)

Now. For the GRAND FINALE:

Hold your breath. You better be sitting down. Here comes the winner:

Eyes. Those eyes.
That half crooked smile.
That hair.
The perfect matching shirt.
The scruff.
Just. Everything.

You're welcome. Hope your day was brightened. :)

"How to Not Get a Man" By: Dakota

So, my Friend Dakota who helped create this blog will now share some of her wisdom and knowledge concerning how to NOT get a man. Something we all have ample experience in. So. Respect her advice and live it cuz she rocks.

Hey kiddos!
This is Dakota. First off. I would like to take this first blog post to explain why single life is great. Don't get me wrong, eventually I plan to get sealed to an awesome young man and start an eternal family. But until then, I am happy being single, and here are a few reasons why!!

REASON ONE
You can talk to and flirt and date whoever you want.
There are no restrictions on what you can do and who you can do it with.
Well. To an extent. Don't get pregnant.

REASON TWO
Focus is on you. And what you need and want.
This isn't me excusing your selfish behaviors. But you have to look out for yourself.
You have to figure out what you want before you find it.

REASON THREE
Along with reason two, you can focus on school and family and church.
Sometimes these things are more important.
Also Jesus is great.

REASON FOUR
You can gawk at hot people without feeling guilty.

I mean hello. Why wouldn't this be a good thing.

REASON FIVE
You're amazing and you don't always need a man.

Stay awesome!
Stay righteous!
We love you all.
Have a fantastic week.
XOXO Dakota

P.S. Here's another picture of Chris Pine because he's gorgeous.

Unlocking the Secrets of Communicating in Gospel Code

Ah-the Gospel Code. Many of you are probably wondering at this point...um...what is it? My friends and I discovered that through lingo and doctrines of the Gospel, it's possible to send encoded messages with deeper meanings. Learning to unlock and understand this code is not for the faint of heart. You must be well versed in LDS Doctrine and Principles to be able to grasp the meaning. Luckily for you today, I will be revealing a bit of the inside scoop. Feel free to use these from now on. :) You're welcome.

My first run in the encoding a message within doctrine of the gospel was when I was seriously contemplating how to finish a letter to a missionary. Yes,OK. It was my missionary. But I didn't feel l signing it "With Love, Jane" would go over very well. Especially considering the fact that...well....it just wasn't right. So I sat there thinking about how I could possibly get the message across without actually coming out and saying "I LOVE YOU!!" when...POW!!!
Well! The Spirit is real, people! The thought came into my head: Charity.

Gospel doctrine question: What is Charity?
(ANSWER: the pure love of Christ).

By signing my letter, "With Charity,", I was really saying "With the pure LOVE of Christ". BOOM, BANG!! Nailed it. Plus it's not weird gooey love. It's like...I love you like Christ does. So the Spirit pretty much inspired that one. :)

That's all for now. Keep an eye out for more secrets of communicating in gospel code!

A Snapshot in the Life of Jane...You don't want to miss this

We all love a good romance. So. Here's a snapshot in the life of Jane to satisfy your cute romantic needs for the day.
Just pretend it's your best friend telling you the latest juicy news! :)

ENJOY.... :)

The last person I expected to see on my doorstep was Jace. Jace, with his missionary blonde hair, big sky blue eyes, tall slender body, and mysterious smile. And yet, there he was. Standing in my doorstep.
Dang, he looked good.
I glanced down at my outfit. Classic jean shorts. Solid V neck shirt. Wow. Classy.
"Hey, Jane." he said. A true smile spread across his face when he said my name.
"Can I steal you for a minute?"
"Umm..." I glanced into the house. My sisters were watching TV and Mom was nowhere to be found.
"Sure." I stepped out onto the porch and closed the door. "What's up? You look nice." Man, that blue shirt matched his eyes.
"Oh, thanks," he said, clearly pleased I had noticed.
"So...um.. I have a surprise for you. But you have to wear this." He held out a blind fold.
"Uh...." this was odd. Very odd. I had only met Jace twice before. But, let's be honest. We totally hit it off. But, you know, with Jace entering the MTC like...in two days..nothing really could go anywhere.
After I shot him a quizzical look, he said, "Trust me."
And then he smiled the smile that made his eyes twinkle like stars on a cloudless night. How could I say no to that? So I put the blindfold on and next thing I know I'm in his car and we are traveling to some undisclosed location.
"Hey...can I text my Mom and let her know what's going on?" Double checking with Mom was always an after thought. Oopps.
"No need."
"No need?"
"Yeah. I already called her."
"You what?!"
"I had to get permission to kidnap you."
I smiled. "OH. Is that what this is?"
"Yep.You're my hostage." His hand grabbed mine and gave it a squeeze. "And you're going to like it."
I laughed. And then I heard a snort from the backseat. I whipped my head around and then remembered I was blind. I didn't remember seeing anyone in the back seat on the way in.
"Is someone back there?" Silence.
"Hello?...Jace is someone back there?"
"Don't worry about it." Jace replied. "I... uh... have to drop my little sister off at her piano lessons."
Well, that could be true. But it totally sounded like he made it up on the spot. Luckily, I am a pro Facebook stalker.
"You don't have a little sister."
"Jane." More giggling from the backseat. Clearly more than one person was trying really hard not to laugh. And it clearly wasn't working. Jace squeezed my hand and in a steady voice said,
"Don't worry about it."
"Ok." I said hesitantly. But then I shook it off. I figured it must be part of this whole kidnapping scheme.
Finally the car pulled to a stop and Jace got out and opened my door. He helped me out as I was now an incapable blind woman. One hand in mine, the other on my back. OH, it felt nice.
Fortunately for me, Jace kept me close as we trekked across an unknown and treacherous terrain. Which felt a lot like grass. Go figure.
Man! This was so exciting! With every step my heart pounded faster. I LOVE surprises. LOVE them! I suddenly heard soft music coming from nearby. A huge smile spread across my face. I didn't even know what was going on, but I was thrilled to be there. And Jace was holding my hand, so that was pretty awesome too.
Finally we came to a stop.
"Ok, here we are! Are you ready for this? "
"So ready!" I replied. My mind flew through millions of possibilities. Present? Party? Picnic? A Kiss? OH...that would be nice. Yeah, I could go for that.

Distracted by smooching thoughts, it took me a second to realize my blindfold was gone.
We stood on a cobblestone path in a garden that rivaled the Garden of Eden. The path weaved through color coordinated blossoms and perfectly trimmed trees and shaped bushes. Before me stood a shining white Gazebo drizzled with purple speckled ivy. To my right sat an enormous water fountain, and I could hear the constant trickle of water along with the soft jazzy music. It seriously looked like I had walked into a "Romantic Garden" Pintrist board.

"Oh. My. Word. Jace..." I couldn't find the words. I turned to look at him. He was grinning that million dollar smile as he lead me into the center of the Gazebo.  Jace took both my hands and looked directly into my soul. I peered into his ocean blue eyes and felt my heart sink. This was just...a dream. The garden, this moment with Jace and his perfect blue eyes. It won't last. Jace is leaving. There is just no way. This is just so unfair.
"Jane," Jace began, his voice soft as warm chocolate, "This is completely unfair. " Hey! That's just what I was thinking. We even think the same. *Sob*
"I feel like even though I just barely met you, I've known you forever. Every moment I spend with you just feels like..." He closed his angel eyes and said, "Like I don't want it to end. I...Jane..I'm so sorry." He brought his hand up and gently placed his hand on my cheek.
"Sorry for what?" I asked this as my way of saying, "It's Ok you have to leave. There is nothing to be sorry about."
But he wasn't apologizing for that. Instead he answered, "For not doing this earlier."
And then there was that moment BEFORE the moment. Anticipation grips your every nerve. Air suddenly doesn't exist (OR your lungs forgot how to work. One of the two). Your mind is spinning, your heart pounds in your chest and all at once fear strikes through your veins...
And then he comes closer. And you close your eyes...but you can still see him in your mind, slowly getting closer and closer until suddenly...
He's gone.
Wait, what?
Something's wrong. This is not right. I opened my eyes to see Jace kneeling before me. KNEELING. What the crap was he doing?! My mind came to the conclusion pretty quick. What else could he be doing?? The kidnapping, the music, the garden, the perfect blue shirt that matched his eyes. Oh, no.
"Jane,"
Uh-oh. He was staring into my eyes. "Will you..." he looked down to grab something from his pocket. I saw it coming a mile away. A ring box. Shock shook me to the soul. Jace is LEAVING!  He has a mission call! He can't get married. Gosh, I barely know this guy...!
And then he finished his question, opening the ring box.
"Will you promise to write me?"
Did I just hear that correctly?
Taking a quick look, the ring was clearly a classy CTR ring from Deseret book. Relief washed over me. He's not proposing. PHEW!
I saw the quirky smile on Jace's face and started to shake my head and laugh.
"OH my gosh Jace!! Not funny. So not funny. But yes" I said, "Of course!"Jace began chuckling as he rose and place the sparking CTR ring on my right ring finger.
"You don't have to wait for me." Jace held my hand in his. "That would be cruel and unfair. And I don't want you to make any promises that you can't guarantee to keep. So please, Jane. Please write to me." I smiled up at him.
"Of course I will."
And then he was there. Kissing me. No moment before the moment I didn't even see ti coming. I pulled back after a second, just trying to catch my breath. We both smiled and then went back for more.
Jace wrapped his arms around me, picked me up, and spun me around. My heart soared.
That was when I heard the whoops and hollers. Jace set me down and we both looked towards the sounds.
Our friends Will and Marianne stood outside the Gazebo. I felt my face go Red hot. So, apparently we had an audience.
"Oh my gosh," I mumbled totally embarrassed. I hid my face in Jace's shoulder.
"Hey guys!" Jace hollered. "Did you get it?"
"Every second!" Will held up his phone.
"And I got pictures!" added Marianne.
"Well, THAT'S going in your wedding video." Will exclaimed as he looked at Marianne's perfectly timed picture. We all laughed and both Jace and I gave him a shove.
"Hey! You never know what's going to happen," Will defended himself.
"Well, I know what's going to happen," Jace said, "We are going to dinner" He scooped me up in the classic honeymoon carry and we made our way back to the car.
I looked down at the beautiful silver diamond studded engraved CTR ring on my finger and smiled.
"You know what, Jace?" I announced, " I love you." And then I kissed him again. :)

Chick Flicks and THE KISS...A Biased Top Ten For Any Hopeless Romantic :)

AH- Chick flicks. Whether it's a girls night out, a horrible break up, or just a boring day, we all need the ever consoling and entertaining chick flicks in our hopeless romantic lives. We all know it's crazy to believe that one day we might actually live in one of these too amazingly perfect moments...but have have to watch them anyway. For some reason, living vicariously through the beautiful heroine with the overly perfect man gives us some element of tangible hope in our "hopeless romantic" fantasies. And, of course, our favorite moments always include... THE KISS.

Yes, THE KISS. That one moment you've been waiting the entire movie for.
