Ah-the Gospel Code. Many of you are probably wondering at this point...um...what is it? My friends and I discovered that through lingo and doctrines of the Gospel, it's possible to send encoded messages with deeper meanings. Learning to unlock and understand this code is not for the faint of heart. You must be well versed in LDS Doctrine and Principles to be able to grasp the meaning. Luckily for you today, I will be revealing a bit of the inside scoop. Feel free to use these from now on. :) You're welcome.
My first run in the encoding a message within doctrine of the gospel was when I was seriously contemplating how to finish a letter to a missionary. Yes,OK. It was my missionary. But I didn't feel l signing it "With Love, Jane" would go over very well. Especially considering the fact that...well....it just wasn't right. So I sat there thinking about how I could possibly get the message across without actually coming out and saying "I LOVE YOU!!" when...POW!!!
Well! The Spirit is real, people! The thought came into my head: Charity.
Gospel doctrine question: What is Charity?
(ANSWER: the pure love of Christ).
By signing my letter, "With Charity,", I was really saying "With the pure LOVE of Christ". BOOM, BANG!! Nailed it. Plus it's not weird gooey love. It's like...I love you like Christ does. So the Spirit pretty much inspired that one. :)
That's all for now. Keep an eye out for more secrets of communicating in gospel code!
